Eyelid correction: no-obligation consultation
The aim of the initial consultation is to provide you with information that is as complete and clear as possible so that you can take a well-informed decision.
During the initial no-obligation consultation all the aspects of your treatment are discussed: the treatment that is most suitable for you, the results you can expect, the potential risks and the aftercare.
We try and keep our waiting lists as short as possible. We can usually see you for your consultation within 2 weeks.

Frequently asked questions
- What can I expect at the initial consultation?
Your doctor will give you some advice and information about an eyelid correction procedure and the methods he believes will provide you with the best results. The doctor will also inform you about the potential risks and complications.
- What will the surgeon want to know about me?
In order to determine which treatment method is best for you the surgeon will first want to know about your medical history (anamnesis), so he will ask you about any medication you are taking, previous operations and known allergies.
- Will I have to stop smoking?
It is important that you do your best to stop smoking especially when it comes to an eyelid correction. Otherwise there is a risk of poor healing due to reduced circulation, ugly scar formation and some of the skin may even die off. There is also a higher risk of infection if you smoke.
- Will I receive adequate information?
It is important for you to ask questions. You are required to be properly informed. So read all the information on our website before your intake consultation and ask the doctor any personal questions you may have. If you are well-informed in advance you will be able to ask the right questions.
- When can I ask my questions?
You are free to ask questions throughout the consultation. The plastic surgeon will provide you with detailed information about the procedure, anaesthetic, the position of the scar and any potential complications. It doesn't matter how minor or unimportant your question seems, please ask it! Your doctor will be happy to answer all your questions because an informed patient is a satisfied patient!
- How should I best prepare?
Sometimes people have a pile of questions at home but forget to ask them. So it is useful to make a list of questions to take to the consultation with you. You can best prepare by carefully reading all the information on our website and using it to write a list of the questions you want to ask, which you can take with you.
- When can I book my eyelid correction?
After the consultation, the secretary will provide you with some practical tips, when you can also make an appointment for your treatment by paying a deposit.
- Can I arrange a second consultation?
If, after the initial consultation, you need an additional consultation because you still have some questions, you are welcome for a FREE follow-up consultation.
Will my consultation take place on time?
We do our utmost to plan the consultation schedule as effectively as possible. We believe it is important for every patient to be given enough time to ask his or her questions. Sometimes the consultation time is exceeded and you need to wait before you are seen. We do request that you take this into account.
Do you still have questions after the consultation?
If you still have questions after your initial consultation don't hesitate to call us and/or book an additional consultation.
A second consultation is free of charge.
If you decide to go ahead with a procedure after your consultation, all the information is put in writing in a treatment agreement, which is signed by you and the plastic surgeon.
