New teeth: A beautiful new set of teeth - Gum aesthetic
The Wellness Kliniek is specialised in all treatments for beautiful teeth. Your new set of teeth can be achieved using crowns and bridges, implants, or a set of false teeth.
Before your new teeth can be fitted it is important that your gums and jawbone are completely healthy.
A new set of teeth: Professional mouth disinfection
- Beautiful, healthy gums are essential.
- Clinican mouth disinfection removes all plaque and scale.
- It may be necessary to extract teeth that are unsalvageable.
A successful treatment requires good dental hygiene.

On this photograph we can see that there is no decay. Healthy gums are a pink colour, fit closely around the teeth and do not bleed. Good dental hygien can prevent a build up of plaque and scale.
In most cases, professional dental cleaning is recommended.
On the left x-ray we see nice, healthy, teeth. The jaw-bone is of normal height and the roots are healthy and strong.
The right x-ray shows deep gum 'pockets' filled with plaque and scale. The root-membrane and jaw-bone are seriously infected. Only extensive surgery with or without bone correction can solve this problem.
A new set of teeth: gum correction
Gingivoplasty - Gummy smile correction:
The thickness, color and structure of the gums are essential for a gorgeous smile.
- Aesthetic gum correction evens out differences in tooth-length and your smile.
- We can also correct a 'gummy smile' caused by excess visible gum. This can be solved by a Gingivoplasty or with plastic surgery of the upper lip.
- Bare root-necks can be covered with gum grafts.
- Cavities underneath and between dental crowns and bridges can be filled by increasing the level of the gums.

A new set of teeth: Jaw bone reconstruction & implant surgery
Any missing teeth can usually be easily replaced with artificial titanium roots also called 'implants'.
- The amount of existing jawbone plays a decisive role in the rooting of the implants.
- If there is insufficient jawbone then you will first need an initial procedure so that the implants will grown into the jawbone properly.

New teeth: jaw bone reconstruction - artificial bone
Bone grafts
If there is insufficient jawbone then you will first need bone grafts of artificial bone. We insert artificial bone into the root canals of the missing teeth. These are called bone grafts.
Bone grafts create the necessary volume for fitting the implants.
Sinus lift
It is also possible to fill the sinus cavities. This is called a sinus lift and adds volume to the hollow parts of the upper jaw.
After 4 - 6 months following the sinus lift your jaw is strong enough to have the artificial roots / implants fitted.

- Photo 1: you can see that there is insufficient bone in the upper jaw (1) to fit the implant properly. (2) is the sinus cavity.
- Photo 2: artificial bone (1) is placed in the bottom of the sinus with a special drill (2). This ensures that the implants can be fitted securely.
Before considering aesthetic dentistry it is important that:
- your gums and jawbone are healthy.
- that your existing teeth are in a good condition.
We can help you with this.
Of course your usual dentist or jaw surgeon can also perform the necessary treament on your exisiting teeth, gums and jawbone so that they are in a good condition.
Proper preparation for aesthetic dentistry gives the best long term results.
