If you have excess fat around the stomach and belly and/or you have excess skin ( a sagging stomach) then plastic surgery offers a solution.
Liposculpture can permanently remove fat. With a tummy tuck the surgeon will suck out the fat and remove the excess skin at the same time. It is also possible to tighten slack stomach muscles. The result is a flat, firm stomach and a more beautiful figure.
A flatter, firmer stomach
Pregnancy, weightloss, aging: they can all cause the skin around the stomach or lower stomach to become slack and stretched. We can correct a sagging stomach with a stomach wall correction - also called a stomach correction, abdominoplasty or tummy tuck.
At the Wellness Kliniek we distinguish between 4 possible treatments for tightening your stomach.
Liposculpture:
If you have good elastic skin but too much subcutaneous fat then liposuction - liposculpture of the stomach and belly is sufficient. This is a simple procedure which leaves no visible scars and gives fast, permanent results.
Liposculpture + tightening of the abdominal muscles:
If you have good elastic skin, excess fat and slack stomach muscles you can opt for liposuction combined with subcutaneous tightening of the stomach muscles.
Mini Tummy tuck:
If you just have excess skin around the lower stomach (between the navel and the pubis) then a mini tummy tuck is the right option. With a mini tummy tuck the slack muscles of the lower stomach can also be tightened. A mini tummy tuck can be performed on an outpatient basis under intravenous sedation. After the procedure you rest in one of our private patient rooms. You can return home or to your hotel the same evening.
Full Tummy tuck:
If your abdominal wall is completely loose and you have sagging skin and slack muscles above the navel then a full abdominoplasty (full tummy tuck with tightening of the muscles) is the best solution. With this treatment we remove the excess skin above and below the navel, up to the ribs. The navel is transposed. A full abdominoplasty is a larger operation: You will normally stay one full day and night at the Wellness Kliniek.
Plastic Surgery of the Stomach
Which treatment is suitable for me?
Liposculpture, tightening the stomach muscles and a mini tummy tuck can be performed on an outpatient basis. This means that in the morning you arrive at the Wellness Kliniek for your procedure. After the operation you spend the rest of the day at the Kliniek in one of our patient rooms. The same evening you are fit and well enough to return home or to your hotel.
If you are having a full tummy tuck you will stay at the kliniek overnight.
Each tummy tuck procedure is extremely individual and a thoroughly assessment is necessary to achieve the most beautiful, permanent results. During the consultation the surgeon will determine which is the best technique for you and exactly what you can expect.
At the consultation the doctor will examine the cause of the problem. Are your stomach muscles too slack? Do you have excess skin or fat?
