An official, international, recognized quality system, with certification for medical and surgical care.
stands for the quality of the medical procedures, treatments, materials and apparatus.
The Health Care Services ISO (NEN-EN 15224) is a specific quality management standard for hospitals and other care organisations. The new standard is based on the ISO 9001 quality certificate. EN 15224 certification is European and will be implemented by an increasing number of care institutions in Europe over the next few years.

Clinics - Admission
A good clinic has admissions and overnight facilities:
Some private clinics don't have an admissions facility, nor individual rooms for patients to be kept in overnight.
Sometimes, even after a simple procedure it is better that the patient be kept in overnight.
If you opt for a safe treatment then check out the admission facilities offered by your clinic.
Being discharged from the Kliniek
Safety is of the utmost importance in the Wellness Kliniek.
You will only be discharged when the doctor decides you are ready.
Some clinics discharge patients immediately and transfer them to a nearby hotel. A hotel room has no medical infrastructure and is not an ideal environment for patients who need medical care.
Cross infection of hospital bacteria is a well-known cause of disease and death. This is why healthy cosmetic surgery patients should preferably not be treated in the same operating theatres as patients with infections. Also medical and paramedical staff should be kept separate.
In the Wellness Kliniek we do not treat sick patients.
Every plastic cosmetic operation is individual and personal. The surgeon will provide you with detailed information about the risks and possible side effects of your particular procedure. He will also talk about the care which will be necessary during the recovery period.
Before you undergo an operation you will need to sign a treatment agreement - a consent form.
This treatment agreement does not release the doctor from his medical responsibilities.
Prices should be reasonable. Ridiculously expensive prices are no guarantee of quality, and dirt cheap prices even less so.
In the Wellness Kliniek you know exactly what you are paying for. Our services are performed to the highest European standards. The medical and paramedical staff are specifically trained and are constantly subjected to quality controls. The facility comes under a controlled and internationally recognised quality system with ISO certificates, as are all the treatment methods, materials and technology.
Choice of anaesthetic
All plastic surgical operations can be performed under local anaesthetic or intravenous sedation.
Intravenous sedation is safer and has much fewer side effects than a general anaesthetic.
Don't be misled by doctors, surgeons and anaesthetists who advise a general anaesthetic for plastic and cosmetic operations. A general anaesthetic is only necessary for deep tissue surgery (e.g. stomach reduction).
The Wellness Kliniek doesn't work with agencies or beauty consultants. We do not recruit patients. Quality care also means that you are informed by the doctor who will be treating you.
Only your doctor can give you a good overview of all aspects of a particluar treatment.
During your consultation he can determine if you are a suitable candidate for treatment, which treatment is most appropriate for you and what the possible alternatives are.
After the procedure you will be given special aftercare instructions for when you get home.
Our team is there for you during your procedure, but also afterwards. We are there to support you 24/24: 365 days a year.

* Rates are among the best in Europe and are all-care-inclusive, but they do not include any VAT. Since January 1, 2016, the VAT exemption for aesthetic surgery and treatments has changed. As a result of this change, the VAT exemption will be applicable only for treatments that aim at the 'medical care' of patients (and are as such included in the Belgian INAMI nomenclature). In the absence of such a target, 21 % VAT will be applied. Aesthetic dentistry remains exempt from VAT.
