relaxation
Vaginal relaxation can be an unwanted result of childbirth, aging
or muscular deconditioning. The muscles are relaxed and have poor
tone, strength, and lack control. The internal and external diameters
of the vagina increase. Also, the muscles of the perineum may be
weak and poorly supported. Under these circumstances, the vagina is no longer at its optimum
physiological state. As a result, the sensual side of sexual gratification
is diminished. According to the scientific medical paper of Masters and Johnson,
sexual gratification is directly related to the amount of frictional
forces generated. It is not, however, a solution for sexual dysfunction,
lack of interest or arousal, or orgasmic inadequacy.
